FAQs
When are you open?
Our season is dependent on the weather throughout the winter and spring, so our open and closing dates may vary by a few weeks each year. We are usually open in May-June, sometimes opening in late April and sometimes closing in July. During our picking season, we are open everyday from 8:00am to 6:00pm at our Main Location - 23800 Marsh Creek Road, Brentwood, CA 94513.
How much do your cherries cost?
Our u-pick cherries are $4.00 per pound. Each day we pick and package limited quantities of cherries and make those available for $5.00 per pound. Freshly picked and packaged cherries are perfect for anyone who needs fresh cherries but does not have time to u-pick.
Do I need to pay for all the cherries I picked?
Yes! U-pickers must pay for any cherries they pick; although, we do encouraging eating a few along the way. Once our cherries are picked, we cannot put them back on the tree. One of our buckets holds roughly 10 pounds of cherries, so keep that in mind as you pick. We hope customers will be mindful of what they pick to limit cherry waste as much as possible.
What should I bring to u-pick?
Recommended:
Sunscreen/Sunglasses/Hats
Closed-toe shoes
Water
Cash or Credit Card
Optional:
You may use your own bucket or bag
You may bring a ladder of your own to use at your own risk
Can I bring my dog?
Yes you can bring your dog(s). We ask that you keep dogs on leashes at all times and clean up after them.
How should I prepare for the weather?
It can get very hot at the orchard in the summer. Our cherry trees provide some shade, but you should plan to be exposed to the sun and heat while picking. Bringing plenty of water is a must! Because of our status as a farm stand, we cannot sell water. Bring hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, umbrellas, or anything else you need to stay protected from the sun.
What is the best way to pick cherries?
Picking your cherries with the stems attached will ensure they last the longest. Moisture is stored in the cherry stem. As soon as you remove this from the cherry, the cherry begins to dry out more quickly.
How do I keep cherries?
Cherries last longest when picked with the stem, and kept dry and cold. We recommend keeping cherries in an open container in the refrigerator and rinsing cherries immediately before you are ready to eat them. Depending on the ripeness of your cherries when picked, cherries can last a week or two when refrigerated. To preserve cherries longer than a couple weeks, freezing is required. Remove the cherry pits and freeze cherries in a vacuum-sealed container for best results. Jarring can also preserve cherries for several months.
Are your cherries safe to eat off the tree?
Yes, cherries are safe to eat off the tree. We do use fertilizers and pesticides on our cherry trees, some of which are required by the state of California for all cherry orchards. We follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure adequate time between spraying and picking is given. For those who would like to be extra safe, you can rinse off cherries before eating. Make sure to only rinse cherries you plan on eating right away. Cherries stay fresh longest when kept dry.
What types of cherries do you sell?
We carry several varieties of sweet cherry:
Royal Tioga

What is the parking situation?
We have free parking on-site. Our Main Location parking lot holds 200-300 cars, more than enough spots most days. There are some weekends when our parking lot may fill during peak hours. No street parking allowed.
What is the difference between your two locations?
You can expect to find quality cherries at both of our locations, but there are some differences:
Our Main Location is our longest-standing orchard with several different cherry varieties spanning the entire 6-8 week season (Tioga, Hazel, Coral, Black Pearl, Santina, Utah Giant, Lapin). Our Main Location is roughly 30 acres with over 5000 trees, plenty of space to explore. You can expect our Main Location to be open everyday during cherry season. The parking lot at the Main Location is very large, with plenty of parking.
About 1.5 miles down the road from our Main Location, our Coral Road is a young orchard with our most popular peak season cherry varieties (Coral and Black Pearl). These varieties are only available for a few weeks out of our season, so you can expect this location to be open during peak times in the middle of our season (usually middle-to-end of May). Our Coral Road Location is roughly 10 acres and 3000 trees. The parking lot at the Coral Road Location is smaller and may fill up more quickly.
